The vision behind ‘Stratosphere’ is to transform this mundane, transient space into an enjoyable journey to the platforms rather than just a waiting area for the Eurostar. People often find the experience of waiting to be a negative aspect of their journeys and Stratosphere aims to change this outlook by creating both a functional and fantastical space with features many twists on the everyday waiting room elements by using themes such as the sky to create more effective lighting, seating and spaces for every traveller. By dividing the departure lounge into sections the perfect seating for every commuter will be available whether travelling in groups, for business or with young children.
