This book «Kolsum-Naneh» is an adaptation of a rather famous book written three hundred years ago (Qaja era-19th century) by a progressive clergy "Agha-Hoseyn Khansari", who aimed to confront and educate the regressive instructions of many other clergies. The book is a satirical Persian book on quarrels between five elderly superstitious ladies as Islamic religions experts which are instructing the younger ones on ways of life. The author asserts these rituals as inspirations of devil.

The original book includes 16 chapters, and I have selected seven chapters to make my «Artists' Book». The entirely-handmade production procedure is an outdated feminine ritual: women sitting around and taking part in making a single product, this idea plus the work’s visual arrangement (such as blood stains from defloration) provide the work with a historical and anthropological aspect and make it a deeply feminine work.

The First Chapter On Matrimony
Second Chapter On the night of Wedlock
Third Chapter On Giving Birth

The book was part of my Solo exhibition “Haft Peykar” at  Aaran Project, Tehran, 2018
