Every year, SMU selects 6 freshmen as key drivers for prospective students to affirm their decision to join SMU and accept their offers (Affirmation Phase).
Keeping in mind that this was intended for social media, the direction strayed away from the conventionally shot photos and instead brought upon the idea of shooting images which would later be turned into GIFs. This approach not only helped to showcase the students in their natural habitat, but it also reflected the fun and innovative approach that SMU embodied.
The photoshoot featured 6 talents with an accompanying writeup, and the locations and props were specifically selected and curated to fit the talents’ personas.
