Teeny Animal Knits
KNITTING PATTERN DESIGN BY AMANDA BERRY

These little toy animals are quick to knit, and are a super way to use up odds and ends in your yarn stash.  Make them for keychains, brooches, pendants, or even wear them as rings.  Included in the patterns are instructions to make the bee, mouse, turtle, ladybird, robin and hedgehog. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the toys are knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round), and the mouse’s tail is an i-cord tube worked on two DPNs.

Find the knitting pattern at LoveCrafts.
NEEDLES
A pair each of 4mm single pointed knitting needles and DPNs (US 6).

RECOMMENDED YARN
Oddments of DK acrylic yarns can be used; I chose Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK, a double knitting/light worsted weight 100% acrylic yarn.

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, small amounts of toy filling or cotton wool balls to stuff, and beads for eyes backed with white felt fabric circles.

SIZES
One size only - up to 3cm long.

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, knitting stripes, and seaming to finish.
