Mica.
mica is a school where kids learn differently: in an empathic, curious, healthy, kindness way. Based in Wynwood art district, in Miami, Florida, the school founders asked us to create a visual and verbal identity that reflected their unique essence.
The logo is built by four pieces inspired by the name of the school and its axes: mindfulness, well-being, knowledge, and personalized education. Together, they turn into a new language that connects with its philosophy, values, methodology, and daily work: Take a pause. Breath. Think. Create.
Letter and icon fusion into one: The m inside a circle invites to take a pause and stay focus now. The letter i joins a windmill to represent the action of breath. Knowledge and education are on letters c and a, along with two icons that imply the process of thinking and creation.
This new language goes beyond the logo. It's now an entire iconography. Symbols that play, dialogue, and form a bond with everyone. This is how mica speaks.
Brain Center.
Finally, we design the Brain Center logo -a research center for kids that works in healing injured brains, from autism to other conditions, through the ability of the brain to change known as neuroplasticity.
With the brain plasticity in mind, we create a B (brain) in motion. Taking the iconography from Mica and transform it into a neuronal structure. In that way, every icon functions as one neuron, and each neuron networks as sensations, movements, and life experiences.
