A team of designers in the UK (UCA, final year Masters students) and Germany (from HTW) got together to create a sustainable collection of clothing which showcased in the Mercedes Bens fashion week in Berlin S/S 2014.
What started as an individually accomplished branding project for Intatex Pvt. Ltd. gained a rather positive response from the owner Mr. A. Harper and paved way to entering the prestigious MBFW.
Intatex, the European military surplus garments wholesale distributer, sponsored the material for the show. Selected some of these surplus garments, deconstructed them and reconstructed them again to form runway-worthy fashion ensembles.
The prime idea was to take military surplus garments and reconstruct them as fashion ensembles. Thereby reusing what would otherwise be considered waste.
