Now, this one was a rough ride... not exactly happy with the result, but below you can see just how many iterations there were (and what compromises had to be made), so something good got lost in there somewhere.
Basically, after one week of actual production the client changed the direction/the look agreed upon based on the references, and the night race turned into a daylight one. Then they decided they didn't need all the particles stuff and most of the trails (which was what why I had signed on in the first place, something that was supposed to make the animation look pretty). And then, after a month of production (or rather trying to figure out what the client actually wanted) the first scene had to go, too, and be swapped for a really bland and boring shot, because of the local laws that prohibit depicting casinos in TV ads (something I had been warning the agency about, but the client probably thought they could make it slip).
