This project was created for the fundraising event called Petchitecture. This event was created and host by PAWS, a non profit organization in San Francisco provides pet food, vet care and pet supplies to people who can't afford keeping their pets with them. Petchitecture initially started inviting architecture firms to design pet furniture for bidding, all the bidding money are used for paying for pet care, food and supplies for people in need.
CATPSULE was inspired by Japanese capsule hotel. It's the special hotels provide hotel services with a small room just big enough for people to sleep on and spend the night. The Capsule hotels are named after the similarity of capsule shape.
CATPSULE is designed to fit in any room for people's loving cats, and of course, small dogs
(or any pets can squeeze themselves into the space).
Interchangeable and tough scratching mat gives the cats a purrfect place to ease their scratching needs.
CATPSULE also provides space for human!
