Black Swan
This brief was a live one from Little white lies who wanted a cover designed for their yearly magazine. You had the choice of 5 different films and one of them was Black Swan.
I created a number of different designs for this brief and three of those are below. I used a number of different ways such as digital, drawing and illustration and paint and print to create the cover image.
Cover 1
This design is based around the the feather element of Black Swan. The image is defragmented to bring across the mind of the actress in the film and the character she plays. There are light and dark sections to this cover again, to bring out the softer and darker characters in the film.
Cover 2
This design was the one i submitted to the live brief. I wanted to focus on the contrast between light and dark and the sections of colour between. The logo had to be in the same place for each cover.
Cover 3
This was a softer design i created. Looking back i would have probably tried have have used more elements of the film within the design rather then just the main actress and the obvious elements such as the swan, feathers etc.
