The Golden Forest

The Golden Forest is an app in development by NuNam. Its main goal is to guide people through the difficut yet important mourning proces following the loss of loved ones.
Inspired by the soothing and poetic concepts of the Japanese culture, such as Wabi-sabi and Mono no aware, the app consists of a world with four seasons, each season being a phase of the mourning proces. The world starts as a damaged grain of seed. As you go through each season, the cracks get filled with gold and a tree grows bigger and stronger out of the world. Each loss is a new beginning.
I made these stills during my internship with NuNam, to visualize the outlook and feeling of the app.
