Towhid Prints
In joining the Fulton Street Collective some great opportunities to make art for interesting circumstances have come about, such as the Chicago Danztheatre. They were putting on a ticketed evening of dance and poetry and commissioned some artists to show works in the space.

Rumi, the poet, wrote very eloquent simple poems on 'Towhid' or unity in the 1200s. They're beauitful poems and leave a lot up for interpretation. At the time I'd been experimenting with some scanning techniques and refining my moving hand across the scanning bed. In scanning 2 moving images at once I was able to create a new form of 'Towhid' to hang behind the dancers and poets as they dazzled the eager crowd.

My good friend Neil brough his parents from Ohio to the opening of the show and they had a great time. A well deserved thank you to Roger for the pre-show Branch 27 Manhattan.

Big thanks to Steve Juras for the heads up on getting this work in front of these good people.
