//fast demo
You will need a T positioned model, export it to OBJ or FBX format from your modeling 3D package
Upload your DFX or OBJ model to Mixamo.com
Rig your model with available points and choose No Fingers (25) from Skeleton LOD drop down. Kinect 2 does not support fingers.
Download your model
On import to Notch make sure to set your scene scale to 0.01 this corresponds to correct scaling for FBX models coming in from Mixamo.com
Insert your FBX model to Node-graph, connect it to the Root of the scene. Expand the inner hierarchy of the Imported 3D scene node via small triangle markup in the bottom right of the node.
Go to Project>Settings>Kinect. Enable Kinect2 and it's skeleton
Choose Kinect2 from the nodelist, connect it to the Root of the scene, grab the main bone from the FBX rig - Mixamorig:Hips and child it to Kinect2 Skeleton first input. Adjust smoothing in the node to your needs.
Kinect skeleton rigs are not perfect, they tend to loose tracking and are susceptible to changes in light levels. For professional skeleton tracking results, I recommend looking at Motion Capture suits! Here is a stream demoing the Noitom mocap suit- Perception Neuron and Notch working hand in hand
Feel free to download and use this file for commercial or non commercial work
