— The Chaser —
I have, what some may find, an odd passion for the Severn BridgeBristol, UK.
I also love experimenting with different lighting, often turning day into night, in a lot of my photomanipulations.
In this piece, I focused on turning an ordinary, everyday scene, into a balmy, picturesque evening, with a sinister outcome. A considerable amount of manipulation has been undertaken, as the original photo was shot in strong daylight (see original source below) and the bridge's clipping path alone took a day to cut out!

The final piece is very heavily influenced by movie epics such as Close Encounters & Independence Day
I rarely use the 3D settings in photoshop. But for the purpose of this project, I gave it a whirl.
To create the UFO, I just started with a single 2D circle. Built up all the effects using various brushes.
And then messed around with PS's 3D settings until I found a shape I was happy with. This was then colour corrected and messed around with until I could find an angle that suited.
The final finished version of the UFO placed into it's setting
