Construct: A dialogue between architecture, is a fictional exhibition showing works that celebrate the marriage of architecture and typography. With the freedom to work with any Singaporean building/architecture, we were tasked to create an A1 size poster and handout for the event in relation to the building/architecture of our choice. The aim was to use the building as a grid which could be then translated into layout of our poster.

I chose the HDB housing estates in Potong Pasir, as I have always been intrigued by their non-traditional HDB roofing. Their slanted roofs form a very prominent skyline in Singapore and always catches my eye when I pass the expressway.
Inspired by the term 'slides in the sky', their history as a sand quarry, and an area with frequent flooding, I combined these three elements together to create heavy blocks floating in what could be seen as both sky and water in the poster.

The handout is a three-fold brochure, shaped after the Potong Pasir building itself.
