ICARUS-4 is a space sneaker designed for conditions of zero gravity for astronauts in order to provide maximum flexibility during minor hull repairs and allows for tetherless operation. The foam sole and rubber heel both offer high-potency induction magnets and minimize damage to the ship's exterior panels due to soft padding. In conjunction with the REMORA magnetic knee pads and the N76 standardized battery pack, the operator has up to 6 hours of space walk capability.

This concept was developed as part of a character design for a CG film we currently have in development at SUPERLUMINAL. I took on this project as a way to practice and learn all aspects of asset development and modeled, unwrapped, textured and rendered the design. A special thanks goes out to Stefan Van Der Sandt who showed me around Substance Painter.
