Pulau Ubin - Brand Identity Project

"Pulau Ubin is home to Singapore's last village or kampong, as well as the Chek Jawa Wetlands, one of Singapore's richest ecosystems."

"Embark on a trip to the island allows you to be transported back in time to the 1960s Singapore."

I used collage and image-making techniques to illustrate the blurred boundary between the past and present in Pulau Ubin by cooperating old and new photographs of the island.

Through the design's colors and graphics, I wanted to portray Pulau Ubin's well-known diverse forest and ocean ecosystems.

The logo is a combination of the shape of the island (green) and the ocean surrounding it (blue). My intention was to make the combined shape appear to be a rock, which is based on the meaning of the word "Pulau Ubin" - Granite Island.
