What initially fascinated me about this image was the light. It's quite unusual to paint a portrait with the eyes so heavily cast in shadow. However, despite them not being apparent, I did make a conscientious effort to try and include them where possible.

If you're a fan of the band and you have been lucky enough to see them in concert live, you will already be well aware the significance of receiving a single white rose, thrown by Theo. Usually, from the stage during one of their infamous numbers. And, while I've not personally received such an item, I have witnessed grown women fight over them, before now.
