Apart from the extensive railway network, Hong Kong also provides a wide coverage of bus services especially connecting New Territories (where New Towns with many residential housings are located) and the urban center (known as Kowloon and Hong Kong Island). A large number of commuters rely on the bus services to achieve point-to-point travel with an ease.

However, from my observation there is no a consolidated infographic, or map to indicate the bus routes as how railway maps do. As a new comer of Tuen Mun District, there are so many bus routes that it is time consuming to study the routing one by one. And that motivated me to create a map to incorporate all bus routes that covers Tuen Mun to other parts of Hong Kong.

To allow passengers easily recognized it as a 'relevant map', the graphic representation style is mostly based on the MTR's one (shown as below) which many Hong Kongers are very familiar with.

Similar as my previous works, diagonal lines are eliminated from the map to avoid confusion of equivalent station spacing. All stations are spaced with the basic division of 50 pt and lines only travel in vertical or horizontal directions.

It is not sensible to display all the lines individually with individual colors and text etc., I try to categorize all destination areas in groups of colors to let passengers understand the color tone of the corresponding destination easily.

A list of bus routes that incorporated to the map is also provided to allow passengers to acknowledge the important information of the related bus routes (eg. bus terminus, destination areas, service time etc.) textually.
