I wanted to combine my love of architecture with abstract graphic forms.  I happened to see a photograph with an arch I really liked.  I sketched the basic shape and later started creating a rendering based on the curve and geometry of the building.  For me, this was basically a trial run for combining geometric abstraction and more organic lines.  I like how the night sky ended up - with the viewer deciding if it is a stormy night or a starry one.  I also like the warm cool gradation across the structure.  One can wonder if it is from a streetlight, someone having a late night in an office just beyond sight or something else entirely.
