這是款為小型居家空間打造人貓共享休憩區的家具組，包含人貓共用的地面型沙發及茶几。

Composed of a floor sofa and a coffee table, CatYou in a Circle provides a relaxing space for cats and their owners.

小空間養貓新世代

New Generation Keeping Cats in Small Living Spaces

年輕世代租屋人數漸多，加上「貓經濟」崛起，養貓族的生活型態正在改變，新的挑戰相應而生。透過問卷調查，我們發現現今約有三成的養貓人口與貓生活在十坪以下空間，經過近一步的訪談，我們整理出四大洞見：

．貓的躲藏空間不足

．貓用品佔據生活空間

．居家空間不便裝修

．人期待與貓親近

我們也歸納出設計訴求—順應小空間下人與貓的行為模式，為雙方創造可利用的空間，並保留貓的陪伴感。

Living spaces are getting smaller, cat keepers are therefore facing new challenges. Through 233 questionnaire responses, we found one third of cat keepers living under 50 square meters. After interviewing these subjects, we highlighted four main insights:

．hiding space for cats is lacking

．cat furniture occupies living space

．renovation is often not available

．people want to get closer to their cats

Our design target is therefore—Follow the behavior of people and cats and create available place for both of them, while preserving the sense of companion from cats.

人與貓的特殊行為模式

Unique Behavior of Cats and Humans

人的行為：小型居住環境下，人們喜歡用矮家具（如地毯、和室椅等）拼湊出個人專屬的休憩空間。

貓的行為：貓咪有狩獵的天性，喜歡躲在隱蔽處，但小空間通常隔間、家具較少，飼主又不會買產品來把貓與自己隔開，因此貓咪總是鑽到床底下、電視後面尋求安全感。

Humans: In small living spaces, people like to use low furniture(such as rugs, floor chairs) to build personal relaxing areas.

Cats: Seek covert spaces, but due to the limited furniture in such living environment, there's not much place to hide. On the other hand, cat owners wouldn't like to purchase something to separate themselves with their cats.

沙發的靠背及扶手中空，提供貓咪玩耍及藏匿的空間；茶几則兼具了貓窩的功能。竹編材質的可透視性讓貓咪躲起來時不會離開飼主的視線，飼主更能透過表面的孔洞和貓咪互動。

The hollow armrests and backrest offer cats a playground and hiding territory, and they can sleep in the coffee table. Bamboo weaving texture makes it possible for owners to see their cats even when they are hiding, and also gives a chance to play with their cats through its holes.

竹編孔洞大小變化—創造舒適感及互動機會

Bamboo Weaving Holes bring Comfort and Interaction

依據人的使用習慣、人因工程與貓的需求，在扶手與靠背處分別用竹編技法的三角編、六角編塑造上下不同的孔洞大小。

．靠背—整體孔洞較密，增加貓的隱蔽性，但上方孔洞稍疏，當人倚靠椅背時，往兩側俯視就能看到愛貓。

．扶手—整體孔洞較疏，增加人貓互動遊戲的機會，但上方孔洞稍密，提升手臂接觸時的舒適度。此外，在扶手側邊保留兩個大孔，讓生性好奇且喜愛偷偷觀察的貓咪可以隨時探頭觀望周遭。

According to human habits, human factors and cat's needs, we apply different weaving textures to fit various scenarios.

．Backrest—Holes are mostly smaller, cats feel more secure. But holes above are bigger, so that when people lean on the sofa, they can see through the backrest and find their cats underneath.

．Armrest—Holes are mostly bigger, offer more opportunities to interact. But holes above are smaller, make it more comfortable when resting arms. In addition, there are two large holes on each side of armrests, allowing the curious cats to pop their heads or hands out.

布料材質吸附味道

Fabric Absorbs Cat Smell

扶手與貓窩底部的軟墊採用絨毛布料，除了提升舒適度，也容易吸附氣味，讓貓咪更有安全感。軟墊拆裝方便，容易清洗，不必擔心用久滋生細菌。

Fabric cushions are placed at the bottom of armrests and Coffee table. They are not only skin-friendly, but also capable of absorbing smell, which is important for cats. Cushions can be unloaded and taken to laundry easily.

彈性擺放的沙發型態，更有利居家空間規劃

Flexible Form, Fit your Flat

兩側扶手可根據個人使用習慣或空間大小決定收合幅度，且收起時可使中間段竹編密度重疊，增強貓咪的隱蔽性。富有變化的竹編編法除了美觀、增加視覺上的豐富度外，也讓產品使用情境更為多元。

Armrests can stretch out or draw back to fit the space or personal needs. When draw back, middle part becomes less visible, makes it more covert for cats. Multiple weaving textures enhance aesthetic and provide various scenarios as well.

強調被動陪伴感

Claiming Passive Companion

人貓共生這個概念，在近年來因飼養空間的變化，成為了相當熱門的話題，因此許多家具相應而生。而市面上許多人貓共生的產品都強調人貓的主動互動，或多為以人使用為中心的設計型態。小圈圈強調的則是人貓「被動」的陪伴感，希望將主動權留給給貓咪，他們可以輕易接近飼主，一起玩樂、當需要獨處時也不會被干擾。

Most cat furniture on the market, handling cat-human relationship, require users to interact with their cat actively, or are human-centered. CatYou in a Circle emphasizes "passive companion", which leaves an autonomous space for cats. They can easily draw the owners' attention and play together while staying alone when not wanting to be disturbed.
