Gender Fair Language

Gender Fair Language
This magazine spread was created for Jacy Howard's illustration on gender-fair language.
Gender-fair language is language that is used with the intention of reducing gender biases. Gender-fair languages also include gender-neutral languages and gender-inclusive languages.
Some countries, like France, have a grammatical language, which uses masculine forms universally to represent men, women, and the ungendered. For that reason, grammatical languages are continuing to place women below men in everyday speech. Therefore, many countries and teachers are standing up against their traditional languages to help make women more visible .
