Dekko Secure feels their platform is outdated and old-fashioned. They found users were not utilising all the features available, which in turn affected their user engagement and retention. This impacted their revenue growth.
They would like to redesign their platform to make features more visible and user-friendly for existing users, as well as appealing to new potential users.
Some Final Thoughts
Originally, we had planned to do more user testing, but due to time restrictions, we were unable to do so.
We found that we had to be extremely clear and concise in meetings as there were a few conflicting interests in our client meetings. At times, we hadn’t completely explained our rationale behind certain design decisions, which caused alarm for the client. In turn, some client intentions were interpreted incorrectly. We learnt from this quickly by recording, reviewing, summarising and communicating to the client what we thought they meant at the end of each meeting. This is something that we can use moving forward.
