HeroDOT

We are HeroDOT, a digital house based in Wrocław, Poland. We specialize in designing&developing digital products from start to finish. We have been making digital happen for our clients since 2014. Our company was created with one goal in mind: to build products that are both functional and visually stunning.

HeroDOT unites the creativity of a design studio with the development expertise of a software house. We call ourselves a digital house for a reason – it is a place where creatives work with techies under one roof, pairing modern and sleek design with reliable and high-performing tech solutions. Any project is bound for success when such diverse and unique talents collaborate to create digital products that work good, look good and feel good.

We redesigned and renamed our brand in-house in 2019. We needed our identity to reflect who we really are - we needed it to represent both the tech and design sides of our company. Depending on the needs, it can be both neutral and bold. Sometimes - we have to adapt it to the client’s colors while maintaining our look and feel. In different situations, we want it to be recognizable and distinct just by the use of fonts and colors.

We wanted our identity to be exciting and long-lasting, that's why we prepared versatile color palette, illustration system, typography layouts, and planned the evolution of our social media content. After rebranding and using our own work for a few months - we are proud to say it is versatile, easy to use, and pretty good looking.

Illustration system

We prepare a lot of content for both inside and outside communication. Things like proposals, offers, blog posts, newsletters, or Christmas cards - they all need some visual support. A visual support that's, like the rest of our identity, bold, versatile and consistent at the same time.

At first - we wanted to hire an illustrator just for that. Then we thought - that's not very agile and scalable of us. Instead, we designed and prepared a whole, DIY illustration system. We based it on illustrator brushes for bodies, legs and arms, and symbols for face elements, palms, shoes, furniture, pets, etc. Then, we just sat down and drew tons of different hairstyles, glasses, beards, mid-modern-century chairs and tropical plants with really long Latin names.

That gave us a huge illustration elements library with limitless possibilities. We also prepared a Sketch version, some preset scenes and PNGs with commonly used elements for people not using graphic design software with such love as we do. This system is now used with ease by anyone in the company and supplies most of our mailings, blog posts, PDFs, etc.
