Designing professional training multimedia, including graphic design, interactive design, web design, and video production. Pushing several research and redesign intiatives aimed at increasing revenue through more effective visuals in content. Reducing video production costs dramatically, building an in-house studio for video production. Training company designers on tools and methodology behind information design.
(2009) Upon being added to the team, I was immediately thrust into a project that was in mid-production. Due to budget cuts in the recession, the production crew had planned to scale back their usual videos to narrated PowerPoint presentations. I suggested using Adobe AfterEffects to create more fluid, engaging animations and then trained the existing staff on the program to greatly enhance the program's media and still make a tight deadline. The screenshot above is a small sample of the six videos created.
(2009) Another course animation, this one is translated into German using a revolutionary translation process in AfterEffects. Turn around from English to any other language was less than an hour. Providing dramatic savings for the company.
(2009) Job aids are a staple of many of the materials AchieveGlobal provides. These cards, which range from 8.5"x11" to smaller 3"x5", help learners recall steps and processes they've learned in their course. They're usually posted near the learner's regular workspace for quick reference. The visuals needed to be clear, succinct, and engaging enough to encourage repeated use.
(2010) AchieveGlobal has had Call Planner materials as part of its sales training for decades, but needed to bring those tools to the twenty-first century. I was asked to design a call planner application for the Salesforce.com AppExchange. The layout needed to be clean, clear, and informative to avoid adding any anxiety to high-pressure call. Salespeople would need to be able to integrate their information about the account, refresh on sales models, and enter new information easily even while on the phone with a client.
(2010) To give a more dynamic tutorial of the application, I was asked to create a video that highlighted the features and benefits of the Salesforce.com version of the Call Planner app. Building on techniques developed for the Informa Pulse video above, this energetic pace helped make a sophisticated application seem fast and easy.
(2010) A process model was need to explain how users could take the new online version of the eBTUP course. This graphic was primarily in sales presentations to explain to buyers the course workflow and its integration with various social media tools. The visual needed to be engaging, clear, and colorful.
(2010) To teach new users the specifics of using the Call Planner, I was asked to design a reference document for the application. The design needed to be focus on salespeople, feel accessible and easy-to-understand, while also adhering to branding and identity style guides.
