This is a personal project I started working on in december 2019 by doing a storyboard and filming some live references. I had a lot of fun learning how to rig the tentacle. I was able to learn new tricks that helped me while I was participating in a game jam. Thanks to the help of my teachers, I was able to make this personal project even better.
This is the version I finished at the end of my semester. I'm really happy with what I was able to do for this project. I was able to learn new tricks, new skills, improve my workflow while having a ton of fun doing it!
After thinking of what I wanted to do for my personal project I made a storyboard using Photoshop. I first got the idea while I was sleeping, it happens pretty often so usually I write it down and then next day I work on that idea and try to make it work into something better. This is the first story board I made of the story. Later I modified the end to make it shorter since I was going to have to do the majority of the project by myself.

After getting my project approved by my teachers, I started making a list of the props I would need for my project and started working on it! I would also need to rig a diveboard and a tentacle. The tentacle gave me the chance to learn new stuff and to improve my rigging skills. I had a blast making it and testing it to make sur everything was working.
I also started modeling the different assets I needed and texturing them. I based my texture on the look of the environment the characters were used in the vr short made by the Artella team so that the characters wouldn't feel too out of place
I made all the props in maya and then used Zbrush to make the textures for them using the polypaint tool except the rule board, the clouds and the sun that I made in photoshop.
I also made my own pickers for the characters using the animschool picker.
