Transition and movement were two key themes presented by the client. I was given a statement from the client that encapsulated the direction for the logo direction and overall brand.

“We are always moving and evolving, venturing into the unknown, we are all passing through this world on borrowed time. We have to make the best (and most) of what has been given to us – our gifts, in the form of our talent that manifests itself in our business and our dealings with others...We’ve got to make every second count!”

Airport and map imagery resonated strongly with the client. Based on her personal experience of placing herself in new environments from cities to countries, she felt a strong connection to airport and map imagery. In her words;

“...The signs, symbols and icons at the airport always gave me the assurance that i would find my way. As long as i looked, read and trusted them, i knew i would be alright.”

The biggest challenge was representing her vision, connecting the themes and imagery without the obviously familiar visual connections to airport and map iconography. The underlying grid represents the order and direction found in maps and airport signage. The simplified triangular arrow connects visually to the idea of direction and movement and the various (arrow) sizes reference the individual nature of our experiences.

As a visual option the arrow cluster can act as a picture window and be “filled” with images, textures and patterns. The overall effect is meant to mimic the view finder on a camera.
