An amazing variety of landscapes composes the nation of Pakistan. One can traverse forests and hills dense with flowers, as well as encounter plains and deserts covered in wildlife. There are steep mountain ranges locked in by snow, and there are breezy coastlines sparkling in the sun.
With a population of 164 million people, Pakistan is also one of the fastest-growing nations in the world, and its cities have long been melting pots of dozens of international races and cultures. Today more than ever, with 60% of the Pakistani population under the age of 25, the nation’s large cities, such as the financial port, Karachi, on the coast of the Arabian Sea, play a major part in the global cultural exchange.
For a proposed re-branding of the tourism identity of Pakistan’s largest city, I chose to highlight these ties to the area’s natural beauty and the diversity of its culture, infusing these attractions with an energetic, youthful graphic style.
