THE STREETS OF TAIPEI
TAIWAN
Taiwan, got my heart right away. I am not surprised that Portuguese sailors, while seeing it for the first time, called it "ilha formosa"- beautiful island. Most of the time in Taiwan I spent in Taipei. I loved how traditional and modern cultures were mixed there (also I ate the best sushi there, haven't been to Japan yet though). I was impressed by people, by their kindness and politeness, by their inner fight for freedom and ways of expressing themselves. I had lived in the Mainland China for a while, and I did find the difference between these "two Chinas". However, I don't want to go deep into this topic here. I just want to show you this city through my eyes.

The best time to walk around Taipei is morning. I loved this urban vibe that area gave, and how yellow taxi blended in perfectly with almost all of the pictures I was taking
The view of the city from Taipei 101, the 10th tallest building in the world. The building's  shape resembles bamboo or pagoda. Anyways, it is very creative and definitely catches your eyes
The city definitely opens up during the night-time. Colorful neon lights, street performances and food stalls, where you can find almost everything you want.
One of the days I got to travel to Jiufen, a small seaside village in the mountains that is famous for the picturesque views and its' street markets
Hope you enjoyed the photos
Thank you for your attention!
