Desi Gods Iconography
The series of icons on Indian Gods under the hashtag #DesiGodIcons has been done in collaboration with SCD Balaji and Artpreneur Program

In India, a country of innumerable Gods, we worship almost everything, from a tree/plant to a crow. The motive is to bow down to every being with a humble heart.
This project has been started to document as many Indian Gods as possible. Hoping to cover as many Gods as possible.
Vaḷḷi is also known as Pongi at Vallimalai in Vellore,Tamil Nadu, and the pond from which she drew water to quench the thirst of Murugan is still there. This pond, though in an open ground, does not receive the rays of the sun.

Brahmacharini is the second form of Goddess Durga and people worship her on the second day of Navratri. She is the unmarried form of Goddess Parvati who was born at the home of Daksha Prajapati.
