Batman collectible cards

Batman collecting cards
The goal was to create a series of collectible cards.

Initially I made five different designs, including five different characters from the Batman universe.

The Art was created with collages, digital illustrations and inspired by different artistic movements, from constructivism to art nouveau, depending on the personalities of the different characters, artistic movements were assigned.
For box design, i chose a minimalist theme, with black and white as my main colors; the typography is embossed with uv varnish.

For the back of the cards i chose contrasting colors; the black and green refer to Batman's relationship with the Joker.
Here are the 5 initial pieces that were created for this project.
On the Harley Quinn card we have the futuristic movement.
This card was inspired on the 1916 movement Dadaism, and the character is Anarky, who although he thinks of himself as a hero like Batman and believes anarchy would help the people help themselves, Batman views Anarky's methods and actions as childish and violent, and considers Anarky a public threat, plain and simple.
This cards inspiration movement is the constructivism and deathshot is the protagonist.
Poison ivy´s card movement is the art nouveau, wich is also known as modernism, developed in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, during the period known as fin de siècle and belle époque.
Finally we have surrealism, from which if you played the Akrham Knight saga you will know that Batman was infected with the Joker´s blood, causing him a degenerative disease that eventually would transform him into the clown himself, giving him hallucinations with him, for which batman was seen disconnected from the reality.
Thank you!
