The "Cirque du Romani" poster was created for a school assignment in early 2013.

 

The exercise was to create an untypical poster for a specific genre of posters, in my instance a circus poster.

The typical circus poster is maximalistic with a wide range of bright and vivid colors, accompanied by a playful typeface. To meet the requirements of the creative brief, I went in the complete opposite direction and created a dark, monochromatic, atmospheric poster in the genre of "art deco noir".
