Flux IT Medium Imagery

I work as a design and communication manager for an IT company called Flux IT. I consider the IT industry has strong, fixed representation codes when it comes to brand design and visual imaginery. Together with my team, we usually try to show a visual image that broadens some of the IT industry's visual codes, and we find inspiration in the way of being of the organization we work for.

Medium is one of the media where we allow ourselves to play a little. Flux IT's Medium publication is the softest public channel we manage in terms of visual image, a digital space where the company's brand tools are specially built to acommpained an article written by one of our co-workers. The custom illustrations I create find inspiration in the way traditional magazines and newspapers make written content stand out by displaying a bold graphic entrance for the readers. Similarly, we try to explore a vibrant brand image to differentiate Flux IT's identity from other IT publications that can be found on Medium.

Thus, this set of illustrations show different ways of understanding the content of each article: sometimes I draw portraits of my co-workers and their mates during the process of a project, some others I try to get something more rethorical, or I just explore a random catchy way to make abstract concepts stand out.

In that way, my team and I always try to achieve 2 main goals: make the brand look special and attractive to the eyes of the external audience, and also, try to deliver a clear sense of companion to the author's work. In most cases, fluxers -the way Flux IT calls its collaborators- have little time to write content so my team and I are always there to make the author shine within the process of getting an original content published, collaborating with them in the creation of meaning through words and artworks.

In this Behance project I'm showcasing a selection of drawings I created during the last 3 years for Flux IT's Medium publication. Hope you like them!
