Creating a collection of digital resources based on astrology and inspired by antique illuminated manuscripts has long been on my list of self initiated projects that I was eager to do. Since I've recently opened a Society6 shop it seemed ideal for this type of project. By drawing each star sign individually and creating seamless patterns to use as backgrounds I could easily mix and match the various elements to create image files with different dimensions to fit many products.

It's great fun to think up various ways of combining the assets to make the most of your product templates. I like to imagine the type of customer that would like to have a matching coffee mug and backpack. Maybe they would also like a note pad to go with it for their coffee break writing sessions. Or perhaps a small pouch for their headphones.

There was a lot of work involved in creating all the assets and upload files (160 and counting...) but it has been so much fun. I haven't finished publishing all the star signs yet and I'm already planning my next project...
