Treading on Tender Grounds
Treading on Tender Grounds
Gold Award Winner (Singapore Youth Festival: Arts & Crafts Exhibition in 2008)
An exploration of the human conditions, human anatomy and human forms.
How our body are able to create different forms of folds and textures in different conditions.
This artwork brings the viewers into another surreal realm where the familiar becomes the unfamiliar.
Together with the exaggerated limbs of the elephants, my painting draws resemblances to the works of Salvador Dalis', The Father of Surrealism, reminding and depicting the extremes within the painted surreal 'tender realm'.
