Altered book based on
Lewis Carrol's Alice in Wonderland

I produced this for a project in a bookmaking class I took. the goal was to take a book and alter it to reflect its original content. I used photo transfers of the books original illustrations for the characters in the book, dipping them in wax to give it the antiquated and Victorian feel. Then I painted the interior of the book in rich red and warm browns to reflect the mahogany tone of the leather on the cover of the book. The interior has various quotes from the book woven throughout all the elements of the piece.
