Koç Group, the largest group of companies in Turkey as well as a regional leader is also an important global player. In 2012, they again chose us to produce its annual report.

 

As always, it was a challenge to bring this enormous structure together in an annual report. With contributions from our client and using the “We are the key” concept they shared with us, we began our work. The visual aspects in the report were the result of a photographic competition within Koç Holding. We prepared a proposal for the contest and shared it with all of the employees. A jury of experts was formed to judge the submitted work. The top ranking photographs were chosen as well as the ones that would become part of the report. Together with the corporate identity using Koç Holding’s “We are the key” concept on the cover page, we established an easy-to-read design language to display the message on the inside cover; tabs were used to direct the readers. Paralleling the concept, we reflected Koç Group’s solution-oriented approach using our solution-oriented design approach.

 

Another innovative side of the report was the way we utilized the back cover. Although it is generally left blank, we filled it with Koç Holding’s key identity for the Turkish economy.
