"Hilos" es un proyecto cinematográfico desarrollado en Caracas, Venezuela para el año 2016; en el cual tuve el placer de añadir mi grano de arena como diseñador del póster oficial del cortometraje dirigido por Debora Da Silva.

"Hilos" is a film project developed in Caracas, Venezuela for the year 2016; in which I had the pleasure of adding my grain of sand as the designer of the official poster for the short film directed by Debora Da Silva.
Dibujé varias ideas a mano con un lápiz en unas hojas de papel y luego armé en Photoshop un bosquejo que me sirvió como guía en la ilustración final. La paleta de colores fue elegida por la directora de arte del metraje y fueron los matices que empleé para el arte.
Al principio se suponía que unos hilos sostendrían el corazón a la mano, para dar la sensación de tensión y dejar en claro que estaba siendo manipulado por alguien.

I drew several ideas by hand with a pencil on a few sheets of paper and then put together a sketch in Photoshop that served as a guide for the final illustration. The color palette was chosen by the film's art director and these were the shades I used for the artwork.
At the beginning, some threads were supposed to hold the heart to the hand, to give a sense of tension and make it clear that it was being manipulated by someone.
Nunca usé los hilos, ni en mi bosquejo guía, ni en el diseño final porque lo entendía como una metáfora. Los hilos eran una alegoría. De hecho, se escribe la palabra "HILOS" en el medio de la mano y el corazón porque es lo que los ata uno del otro. No quise añadir los hilos físicos porque psicológicamente se entiende que ahí están, aunque no se ven.

I never used the threads, neither in my sketch guide, nor in the final design because I understood it as a metaphor. The threads were an allegory. In fact, the word "THREADS" is written in the middle of the hand and the heart because that is what ties them to each other. I didn't want to add the physical threads because psychologically it is understood that they are there, although they are not seen.
