Four Seasons Hotel & Resorts "Aleppo"

This is my graduation project from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Damascus University.

- Brief -

As a part in the process of rebuilding and renovating after the unfortunate events in Syria, and on the ruins of The Carlton Hotel, facing the main gate of Aleppo’s Citadel, the new Four Seasons will rise. Two twin towers with 13 stories high will be the most popular view in the city. Overlooking the Citadel and the old city, the hotel will be the new focal point.

As pioneers in the world of luxury and hospitality, Four Seasons have always looked for the locations of their branches and the privacy of its customers. And that’s what we’re tried to achieve through this branch. Cohesive architecture with modern and luxurious interiors.

Location & Exterior:

As investors of heritage and history, we take on our shoulders the responsibility of refreshing this area with our brand new Four Seasons Aleppo project. Architecture blending in with the environment but also standing out new and modern. Architectural elements from the citadel were the guide-way to this exterior. Arches in various heights from different eras were taken, simplified and modernized just a tiny bit to create this cohesive shell for the towers.

Concept Analysis:

As a philosophy of design, we always try to stand out, that’s why in this branch we’ll introduce design with its progress through time. This branch will have three types of rooms and suites. Each one is completely built and decorated according to a certain design movement. These movements being:

1- Minimalism

2- Art Deco

3- Modernism

Taking residence in Four Seasons Aleppo, would be exactly like visiting the city. An expedition through time, where the past meets the new, in a cohesive method, that doesn’t shock the viewer, but raise him through time with gentle steps, with the finest and luxurious services and accommodations.
