Make a Life Change
Within the UK there are over 59,000 children involved in some form of foster care. The Fostering Network estimates
that UK fostering services need to recruit a further 8,750 foster families in the next 12 months. Looking into the
information advertising and promoting fostering, there isn’t much that makes it easy to understand how and where
to apply and what exactly fostering consists of.
For this module, I will propose an educational campaign consisting of simple facts with regards to fostering and what
the job entails. I aim to increase awareness about the families and carers involved who are committed to fostering disadvantaged children. Finally I intend to try and visually communicate to the general public the rewarding advantages involved in fostering, whilst attempting to encourage the topic out of its over shadowed community, forcing people to
think about this under-valued part of society.
