The Task: To redesign the Muenster Milling logo (below). Paying tribute to the old logo without using grains or farm images. Later I learn they also want to drop "Milling".
Here I thought I'd pay tibute to the cities German roots.

They didn't want it tied to the cities German roots...
I really like the playfullness of this one. I like how the curves on opposite ends help balance each other out.
Trying my hand at some brush script fonts.
I like the uppercase M only reaching the x-height.
Around here they decided to keep the oval from their original logo. 
Played with the N and the R on this one.
Prior to added the scalloped edge these ovular logos were reminding me of old oil and gas company logos. I thought the scalloped edge really pushed it into the food logo category. Maybe too much into the human food area...
So... They didn't like my attempt at using their old colors as a color scheme.
