The reason for Theresa's name is because the film is dedicated to my aunt who passed last year whose name was Teresita. Although the film does not mention it, the main character's name is Senando, in honor of my aunt's husband who passed before her.
The story for my project sparked from listening to the song "Magnolia" by Keshi over and over again the semester before I completed this. Above displays my brainstorming phase and character concepts before I finalized the outfits and color palettes during Weeklies 4.
This is my storyboard in animatic form and the original vision I had for "Magnolias."
Most of what I proposed here appears in the final film.
