Context
Meliá Hotels International is a leader in the hotel industry, leading the ranking of Spanish hotel companies and among the top 20 hotel companies worldwide.
Meliá teamed up with Oracle NEXT, Oracle Technology Solution & Cloud Engineering, and Oracle Consulting in an interactive, co-creation workshop to discover the blueprint for an experience beyond accommodation.

Team
For this project, I worked closely with cross-functional teams such as Oracle Cloud Tech Engineering, Oracle Consulting, Oracle Business Innovation and Development, Melia Product Marketing, Melia Senior Management.

Process
All my projects follow a simple process with very complex methods that allow me to translate a vision into a digital product

I'm calling the process: Vision Executed.
Inside you can find a collection of processes and methods validated in hundreds of projects, multiple innovation programs, and used by many designers and innovators.

If you are a UX / Product Designer or any type of professional, please feel free to use the process in any shape or form you want; no attribution required 😉🤟✌️

If you are interested in how these methods are applied to a specific project, please reach out, and we can schedule a meeting.

Solution
The experience consisted of a blend of mobile and wearable components, and it was structured on three main pillars:
- 360 CAREFREE Experience;
- New and bold SHOPPING Experience;
- CONNECTED Experience.

The 3600 CAREFREE Experience
- Socialize, unwind, dine, be entertained, and discover the latest fashion, all in one place;
- Be on top of your stay with the "My Activities" area;
- Easy access to your room and other resort areas;
- Discover and make reservations to selected venues and events;
- Get new suggestions based on your interests and activity.

The SHOPPING Experience
- An exciting and new way of shopping;
- Quickly discover the latest fashion (items are available at the resort's shopping mall);
- Personalized shopping recommendations based on your interests and activities;
- Fast pay with only your guest bracelet.

The CONNECTED Experience
- Quickly find and be found by your friends;
- Meet new people with similar interests;
- Monitor your bracelet and activities.

The smart bracelet harnesses and integrates Oracle technologies such as Oracle SOA Cloud Service, Oracle Mobile Cloud Service, Oracle Stream Analytics, and the Oracle Database Cloud Service. Oracle has brought them together to provide the seamless experiences that Melia's predominantly young and tech-savvy customers expect in every other aspect of their lives.
