Bombay Sapphire's mission is to Stir Creativity, to celebrate that they formed a creative community and invited Kanella to join.

The concept of our first project was based on the study of the sapphire, a very distinct element of their brand identity. A sapphire has all those qualities of a precious stone, the intense blue, the shiny and glossy elements of a crystal. How do you interpret this brilliant gemstone into a piece of art?

The outcome was a 35cm x35cm embroidered artwork depicting the depth of the colour and perfect shape of the sapphire.

A performance was also held during which guests had the opportunity to observe the creation of limited edition small-scale artworks, building on the concept of the sapphire.
