Not only did I redesign the posters advertising Adam Pendleton exhibition in Korea but also produced its brochures and souvenirs. He is a conceptual artist who utilizes aesthetic and philosophical aspects of design to deliver social messages in the spirit of his artwork. He strives to express his identity in his work as an American man of African descent. I think the reason why the contrast of black and white and the harmony of images and texts are impressive is because those are closely related to his identity. However, I personally feel the current posters used in this exhibition do not reflect these characteristics well. Therefore, I designed something which I believe would do him more justice and that is the main purpose of this piece.
