Metaforicamente, representa as três vidas que consequentemente são cruzadas. A casa que se vê é composta por três casas diferentes. A primeira casa é a casa de Jean que cresceu no ceio de uma família abastada, a segunda casa é a casa de Jannine, as janelas de um prédio do centro da cidade e por fim, a terceira casa, o telhado da casa de René que nasceu numa família humilde e no meio rural. Apesar de crescerem em mundos diferentes as suas vidas acabam por se cruzar e isso representa a casa. Noto que esta ideia surgiu também pelo facto de o narrador iniciar a introdução do filme apresentando quem e onde viviam as três personagens.
Metaphorically, it represents the three lives that are consequently crossed. The house you see is composed of three different houses. The first house is the house of Jean who grew up in the midst of a wealthy family, the second house is the house of Jannine, the windows of a building in the city center and finally, the third house, the roof of the house of René who was born in a humble family and in the countryside. Despite growing up in different worlds their lives end up intersecting and that represents the home. I note that this idea also arose from the fact that the narrator started the introduction of the film presenting who and where the three characters lived.
