Spy Fox in The Complete Collection

Spy Fox in the Complete Collection
Here we have a project that I've had in mind for a while, and that being a "what if?" game collection of my favourite childhood CD-rom series. With this piece, I wanted to stay true to the original games in terms of colour schemes, but also putting a small twist on certain aspects- including the hand drawn font design and the overall conceptual box art.
These three images showcase a small variation of colour schemes for the final piece- and ultimately I had chosen the first one with the red and green title with the purple subtitle font.
Additionally, I want to showcase the four preliminary sketches I had created for this piece- the first one being what the final piece is based on. The second sketch gains inspiration from old "James Bond" movie posters, but this time featuring Spy Fox and his companion, Monkey Penny. The third sketch is depicting Fox parachuting- which is the opening scene of the first game. Finally, the fourth sketch shows Fox's back towards us and him looking at the player over the shoulder as if to ask us to come with him or "are you following me?".
Finally we have the font ideas I had come up with throughout the design of this piece. I wanted to stay true to the original fonts the game developers had used, but not completely copying them. I ended up using the colour idea from the first, the title a fusion of the first and last, and the subtitle from the second. All the font ideas were based on the actual fonts used on the box art the CDs would've come in.
