EVIL HAS A NAME
WE ARE ROYALE
Audible created a podcast on the Golden State Killer titled “Evil Has A Name” which was about the untold story of the investigation. The story of James DeAngelo is shocking to say the least and I won’t go in to details. My role in this project with We Are Royale was to help them create an intro title to the audible podcast. One of the central themes of DeAngelo’s style was using thread on his victims. I took the idea of this thread, to create an interconnecting web which would eventually form an abstract shape of a humans face. It was designed to be mysterious and unrecognizable until the final moments of the animation.
