This project was coordinated by Clayton Blackman, Mark Erickson, Matthew Kennedy and Adam Pelissero along with a design team of over forty talented architecture and engineering students at Dalhousie University. The theme was to design a sustainable float, so the team created strict parameters for how the floats would be powered and made. The seven warm glowing lanterns were clad in wood and pulled by bike using only human power. The lanterns were accompanied by the cheering student design team, faculty and staff. Dalhousie University's design won first prize for best float.
