Extracts from Van Gogh’s diaries typeset across three granite benches as part of the pedestrianisation of Van Gogh Walk, Stockwell. The extracts refer to the beauty of Stockwell and the surrounding area where Van Gogh lived as a young man.
I walk here as much as I can... It's absolutely beautiful (even though it's in the city).
There are lilacs and hawthorns and laburnums blossoming in all the gardens, and the chestnut trees are magnificent.
If one truly loves nature one finds beauty everywhere.
