The Details.
Exposed Tenon and Mortise join for strength and durability from the vertical load. It is also cost effective in manufacturing while giving the product it's character.
Grooves in the main members for weaving the rope.
Weaving pattern.
Two shades of Navy Blue and White together as abstraction of skies and tranquility.
Resonating with the name Sonder, We have our revelations at dusk, possibly with a hot cup of chai looking over that balcony, or sitting with a book while staring a flock of birds finding their way back home, without batting an eyelid.

Sonder tries to adapt into that certain mood and setting, modestly sitting there in the back drop, letting you witness your evenings.
Prototyping.
Making of Tenon Mortise joints and grooves in the following members.
Inserting the D-Nut according to the markings.
Fixing the tie members together and leaving it overnight in the vice.
Making of Mild Steel plates for folding mechanism.
Joining the two frames together with the steel plates using Allen Bolts, One end of the plate being fixed to the frame and the other moving.
Melamine coating on Teak wood followed by Weaving.
Product Handling.
Fold it and carry it around to set up your makeshift reading corners anywhere in your indoor space as well, during different times of the day. Whatever suits you the best. Easy-Peasy!
